FAQs for Migrating to the Web Version of Brevium

1. Why should I switch to the web version?

The web version includes new features like the ability to access Brevium from anywhere, an aggregate view of data across all practices/installs, and new functionality that will not be available on the on-prem (legacy) version. Additionally, the on-prem system will be deprecated on July 1st, 2025, and will no longer receive updates.

2. What will happen to the on-prem (legacy) version?

The on-prem version will stop receiving feature updates immediately. It will be fully deprecated on July 1st, 2025, after which you will not be able to log in or access your data through the on-prem platform.

3. How do I start the migration process?

To begin the migration, contact your Account Manager. They will guide you through the necessary steps to move your practice to the web version and answer any specific questions you may have.

4. What server requirements are needed for the migration?

Your server must meet the following standards for a smooth transition:

· SQL Server 2019

· Windows Server 2016

Please ensure your IT department verifies compliance with these requirements before initiating the migration.

5. How will user management change on the web version?

User management will be handled exclusively on the web version. Once you migrate, the user management tab will no longer be available on the on-prem system, although other tabs will still be accessible until deprecation.

6. Can I control which users get access to the web version?

Yes, you have the flexibility to send email invitations to all users or only specific users when your practice is ready to migrate.

7. Is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) required?

Yes, for enhanced security, email MFA is mandatory. Users will receive a verification code via email once a week to confirm their identity and ensure secure access.

8. Will I still have access to my data during and after the migration?

Yes, the data migration is immediate, and you will have full access to all your data as soon as your practice switches to the web version.

9. Why are my report numbers different between the on-prem and web versions?

Reports in the web version are refreshed nightly, whereas the on-prem reports refresh each time you log in. This difference in refresh schedules may cause slight discrepancies between report numbers.

11. What should I do if my servers don’t meet the requirements?

If your servers do not comply with the specified standards (SQL Server 2019, Windows Server 2016), you must update them to meet these requirements before proceeding with the migration.

12. Will there be any downtime during the migration process?

The migration is designed to be immediate, minimizing downtime. However, it’s best to discuss any specific concerns with your Account Manager to ensure the timing works for your practice.

13. Who should I contact if I have questions during the migration?

Your dedicated Account Manager is your main point of contact during the migration process. They are available to address any concerns and provide guidance to ensure a smooth transition.

14. What happens if I don’t migrate by the deprecation date?

If you do not migrate to the web version by July 1st, 2025, you will lose access to the on-prem system. We recommend starting the migration process well before this date.

15. What are the benefits of the nightly report refreshes?

Nightly refreshes allow for up-to-date enterprise-level reporting, providing a consolidated view of your data across all installs/practices within your organization.
