Hillsboro Eye Clinic Realizes Incredible ROI After Restarting Brevium

February 23, 2024
“Hillsboro Eye Clinic, P.C. has experienced a 58x ROI, meaning they receive $58 for every $1 spent on the software. They have also reactivated 4,564 lost patients across various diagnoses, contributing to keeping the providers’ schedules full and the revenue streaming in”
Shannon Hunt, the HEC office administrator, was on the pursuit to find a recall software that would ease staff workloads and boost practice efficiency. Hunt came across Brevium through an American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators discussion board. Though HEC completed a demo with Brevium’s sales team and loved what the software had to offer, they struggled on the pricing of the product and ultimately went with another solution. Several years later after constant support and software issues with multiple companies that led to numerous missed appointments and consistent gaps in the providers’ schedules, HEC made the call to sign on with Brevium in February 2021.
HEC Realizes the Brevium Effect
HEC found massive success using Brevium’s patient reactivation software after going live in 2021. Initially discovering Brevium while looking for a recall solution, HEC fell in love with the software’s patient reactivation capabilities and how easy it was to get the software integrated with their practice management system. More specifically, Hunt loved how the software practically ran itself, meaning they didn’t have to assign staff to perform manual patient reactivations. Because Brevium’s unique reactivation software identifies inactive patients and employs data-backed automated outreach strategies to bring them back, HEC was able to keep their physicians’ schedules full and their patients compliant with needed treatment.
Despite their success in keeping the schedules filled with lost patients found by Brevium, HEC switched to a less expensive software solution in February 2022. Hunt says the adverse effects were instant. “Almost immediately, our schedules became open again.” After a few months, the next steps became obvious. Hunt explains she met with the owners to re-evaluate the costs and benefits of using Brevium. “Here’s how much Brevium costs and here’s how much it costs you when you don’t have any appointments on your schedule,” said Hunt. “We’re not making as much money as we can if we don’t have Brevium—we’re losing money.” Around December 2022, their providers’ schedules were wide-open and the new recall system they were using that doubled as a reactivation software did not work. At their tipping point, HEC felt the only way to keep their practices busy and prevent patients from slipping through the cracks was to restart with Brevium.
